Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu
Biography
Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu is a French actress born in 1963. The daughter of actor Philippe Leroy, she moved to Paris at 16 to study drama despite her parents' objections. She first appeared on screen in the 1983 comedy-drama Surprise Party. Her first major role came in 1985 as a distraught mother in Three Men and a Cradle (1985), which earned her a César nomination for Most Promising Actress. She has taken on leading and supporting parts in over 50 films, including Vatel (2000), Neuf mois (1994), and Two Brothers (2004). On television, she appeared in Call My Agent! and led the detective series Agathe Koltès (2016-2019). In 2020, she began playing Sylvie Grateau in the Netflix comedy-drama Emily in Paris. In 2022, she appeared in The Crown.
