Plot summary

Alex is a mutant built from super human DNA, and the cyborgs hunting her are machines that people designed to be weapons without a soul. She comes to in the desert with a bullet wound at the back of her skull, remembering nothing, and follows her own footprints back the way she came. A man named Farnsworth 2 finds her, offers to get her medical attention, and injects her with a drug for the injured part of her brain. Fragments of memory return, among them a warning about her DNA. In 1998 East Africa she fights cyborg mercenaries, and Central Command wants her taken alive so her genetic material can be scanned and compared with an ordinary strain.
