Plot summary
J.J. is a former Army Ranger newly hired by the CIA. His lack of subtlety wrecks his first assignment, a plutonium deal in Pripyat involving organized crime figures and Hassan, a terrorist from the Middle East. His boss, David Kim, still pairs him with tech operator Bobbi and sends them to watch the family of Victor Marquez, an illegal arms dealer who has obtained plans to build a miniaturized nuclear bomb he wants to sell to Hassan. Victor's brother David hid those plans before his death, and Kim suspects David's American wife Kate and her nine-year-old daughter Sophie have them. Kate and Sophie moved from France to Wicker Park, Chicago. J.J. and Bobbi move into their building and set up surveillance. Sophie finds a hidden camera and traces its signal to their post.
