Plot summary
Christopher, a lonely meter maid in Brooklyn, picks up an invitation to a Halloween costume party called Murder Party. He builds a knight costume out of cardboard and follows the address, where art students in costumes are waiting. Paul, Macon, Sky, Lexi and Bill plan to kill him as a work of art, hoping to impress Alexander, a patron they believe will fund them with an arts grant. Chris has brought a loaf of pumpkin raisin bread; Sky eats some and says she is allergic to non-organic raisins. The group waits for the witching hour, when they intend to stab Chris together, while they drink and argue among themselves about the grant and their own work.

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- The Lab of Madness shot a short film called Crabwalk to raise funding for their first feature screenplay, Moustache; when no investors were found, they greenlit Murder Party with no money in August 2005 and began shooting in February 2006.
- Murder Party's shoot was rough, with many crew taking multiple roles on a freezing set; budget constraints forced much of the planned special effects to be compromised, so more focus went into a few individual effects, and visual effects artist Chris Connelly was brought in during post-production to supplement the on-set make-up work.
