Plot summary
Gonzo and Pepe skip the Muppets' annual Halloween party and ride instead to a haunted mansion, drawn by a fear challenge held inside it. A century ago, Gonzo's hero, the magician the Great MacGuffin, vanished in that same house. A hearse driver drops the pair at the door, where the Caretaker, ghosts and singing busts greet them. According to the Ghost Host, the mansion called Gonzo there to prove he can last one night, and a failure means he and Pepe never leave. Gonzo claims he fears nothing, while Pepe is startled by nearly everything. Madame Pigota appears, then a room of ghostly Muppet figures. The Host sends Gonzo toward Room 999.
