Moving McAllister (2007) on Netflix

Plot summary

Rick Robinson is a law intern four days away from the bar exam when he tries to impress his boss, Maxwell McAllister, by agreeing to drive a truckload of McAllister's possessions from Miami to Los Angeles. The boss also hands him a passenger, his niece Michelle, who is Hollywood-bound, and her unruly pet pig. On the road the truck breaks down in the rural South, where a family puts them up and Rick's clothes end up burned. A second breakdown leaves Rick unconscious, and a strange hitchhiker named Orlie comes to his aid and finds him and Michelle a motel room. Orlie asks to come along, and Rick, feeling he owes him, says yes.
