Plot summary
Cathy Palmer, a homicide detective, takes up a case in which women have been tortured to death in S&M sessions and found with their eyelids cut off. Every victim belonged to the same circle of wealthy, sexually experimental women. Working that circle brings Palmer to Vickie Kittrie, a member of an exclusive club where women meet for secret bondage and S&M. Palmer is attracted to her even as she works the case around her. Palmer is also drawn to Dr. Dominick Broussard, the therapist the victims shared. To catch the killer, Palmer has to trust Vickie to guide her through that underground.
