Plot summary
In the museum where she works, Lily comes across a painting whose subject looks exactly like her. Who made it, and why it carries her face, becomes a question she wants answered, so she sets out to find the artist. The search takes her to Ireland. There she meets William, a charming man who offers to help her track down the painter. William seems to know more about where the portrait came from than he is willing to say.
