Plot summary
Rob Haley is a London chef whose wife Françoise died in a car accident, and he has lost his passion for cooking. A bad review costs him the customers at his restaurant. He buys the country pub his wife once meant for their restaurant, and moves there with his daughter Michelle and his staff Loz, Ingo and Shauna to turn it into a gastropub. Driving to the village, an American woman overtakes him dangerously. On opening day she arrives as the food critic Kate Templeton.

- Writer-director James Hacking pursued Gordon Ramsay for a role himself rather than going through the chef's agents, and Ramsay agreed to appear at his own expense. Ramsay's name was misspelt as "Ramsey" in the closing credits.
- Chef Rob Haley was based on pub owner John Hailey, and the name Kate Templeton was a play on words because the pub the story came from was a local for Kate Middleton, later Duchess of Cambridge.
- Love's Kitchen took £121 from five UK screens on its opening weekend in June 2011, while Bridesmaids took £3.44 million from 482 screens the same weekend. The press highlighted the low takings because of Ramsay's appearance, and he refused to comment beyond saying he wanted no involvement in promoting the film.
