Lawrence After Arabia (2021) on Netflix

Plot summary

T.E. Lawrence returns from his wartime years in Arabia to a cottage at Cloud's Hill, near Bovington in Dorset, hoping the fame attached to his name will fade. He writes poetry and prose, and counts Winston Churchill, GB Shaw, Siegfried Sassoon, Thomas Hardy, EM Forster and Henry Williamson among his friends, while keeping his ties to his Arab friends. Assumed names put distance between him and the hero he is taken for. He looks toward a leadership post in the Secret Service and reaches out to Mosely and the Blackshirts. He lives with depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, as many soldiers of his generation did. His blunt, uncompromising manner and his convictions have earned him powerful enemies, and those enemies begin to move against him.
