Plot summary
Every ewe in the flock receives the lamb the stork has brought her, except one, who is left with none. When he makes his deliveries, the stork finds that he has brought one bundle too many, and it holds a lion cub named Lambert, who was meant for South Africa. The ewe with no lamb, heartbroken, forcefully demands that he leave the cub with her, and the stork does. She dotes on Lambert as her own, and he is the only lion in the gentle flock. The other lambs ostracize him for being and acting different, and he is defenseless against their head-butts.
