Plot summary
Late at night an alley cat digs through garbage cans for food, and other alley cats take the bones before he can eat them. He spots a refrigerator in a house and heads for it, but sneaking onto the property wakes a sleeping bulldog that chases him, until the cat pulls out sleeping pills and the dog falls asleep. Inside, the kitchen holds nothing until he finds a can of cat food. Opening it, he finds a mouse, who tells him he cannot be eaten and points him to a canary in the other room. The bird is scrawny and says it has been sick. A bottle of Jumbo Gro formula on the shelf gives him an idea, and he pours some into the bird.
