Plot summary
An updated telling of the Fall of the House of Usher, set in the Gothic South. Roderick Usher returns to the family house with Morgan Segal, the woman he means to marry. The household is led by Mother, and the Ushers carry a curse of madness and unrequited love. A mysterious sickness hangs over the family. Madeline is set against the marriage and will go to any length to prevent it, while Morgan tries to pull Roderick away from the house.
