Plot summary
Peppino Patanè, a dentist and a baron known as Don Peppino, is in debt and looks to the family inheritance to pay what he owes. Calogero, the old grandfather, has set conditions on that inheritance: Gianluca, Peppino's son, must marry, and a son must arrive within the year. Gianluca's manner strikes the people around him as unmanly, and they suspect he wants no bride.
