Plot summary
Bodyguard work takes Ruby to a range of clients and their valuables; her father, who trained her in martial arts, runs the agency, Securitas, and has his own ideas about her future, favoring a richer and more important suitor and parading body builders in front of her. Adelmo Spallanzani, a clumsy artist, falls for Ruby at first sight and remains unaware of what she does for a living. His French neighbor Florence, a sometime model, has a crush on him, and Ruby's father makes advances toward Florence as well. Ruby is drawn to Adelmo despite her father's plans for her.
