Plot summary
Renato Baldi runs a nightclub revue where his partner of more than twenty years, Albin Mougeotte, performs as the female impersonator Zaza Napoli. Hoping to make Renato jealous, Albin sits in a café dressed as a woman and lets himself be picked up. The man who takes the bait is a spy, and he leaves a capsule of microfilm on Albin without his knowledge, making him an unwitting courier. Foreign spies and government agents then chase the pair, who leave France for Italy to hide at the farm of Renato's mother. There Albin passes as Renato's wife, and at every stop the people around them react to a man in women's clothes.
