Plot summary
An older woman in a banlieue loses her purse to Jean-Claude and Pierrot, and the take comes to almost nothing. The two steal a Citroën DS, then return it at night, where its owner is waiting with a gun drawn. Pierrot is hit in the groin. Jean-Claude gets the better of the owner, takes his gun and the car, and drives off with Marie-Ange, the woman the owner was with.

- Bertrand Blier first wanted the comedian Coluche as Jean-Claude and was reluctant to cast Gérard Depardieu, who felt the character's background strongly resembled his own and pestered Blier for weeks until he won the part.
- Brigitte Fossey, who slipped into the role of the woman on the train, was not frightened while Patrick Dewaere's character sucked her breasts, but Blier remembers her getting a little dizzy caught between the two men in the scene.
