Plot summary
Andy works as a photographer in Santa Domingo, and Kreola, his wife, comes to the island to join him there. Marco is also in town, searching for Iris, his girlfriend, who never came back with her coworkers after a getaway. Andy is jealous of Marco at first. When Kreola and Andy see Iris in the company of Leon, a sea captain, Andy suggests that Kreola keep Leon distracted so that Marco can get Iris back. Kreola scoffs at the idea at first, then falls under Leon's influence. Jo Ann, a writer and a friend of Andy's, says the island's atmosphere leads Westerners to drop their inhibitions.
