Plot summary
Johnny Amato, known as Squirrel, plans to rob a private poker game that the Mafia runs in Boston. He brings in Frankie, someone he once did business with, and Russell, an Australian immigrant who uses heroin and steals purebred dogs to sell in Florida. The game is hosted by Markie Trattman, who once paid two men to rob one of his own games, so Squirrel expects him to be blamed. The robbery nets about $100,000. Mob poker games stop, the criminal economy is shaken, and the lawyer called the Driver asks the hitman Jackie Cogan to deal with it.
