Plot summary
Kate, orphaned as a child, is raised by Varrick and trained as a sniper, and she takes the targets he chooses. In Osaka her assignment is a senior figure in a powerful yakuza syndicate, but the man arrives with a child, and she takes the shot only at Varrick's urging. The job leaves her shaken, and she tells him she will carry out one more mission and then retire. Before it, she meets a stranger, Stephen, over wine at her hotel bar. As she sets up for the shot, dizziness makes her miss, and she comes to in a hospital, where she learns she has acute radiation poisoning and one day left. She arms herself with a gun and injectable stimulant drugs and goes after whoever poisoned her.

- Mary Elizabeth Winstead trained extensively for the role with stunt performer Hayley Wright, who had worked with her on Gemini Man; the two shared a dance background and moved alike. Wright was injured on the first day of filming in Thailand, so other stunt performers were brought in instead.
