Plot summary
Li is a troubled man who has gone through recent losses in his life. He works as an engineer, where the pressure continues, and at home his wife, Pang, an investigative reporter, is moody. His despair takes him to the brink, and a mysterious American expat named Chuck pulls him back from it. Chuck becomes an unlikely mentor to him, and the two become friends.
