Plot summary
Stuart and his girlfriend Jennifer Russell arrive in a rural town to visit her mother Margaret, who is in the hospital. A small earthquake opens a sealed burial site for toxic waste. Jennifer visits her friend Margo and notices strange behavior in the people around her. Stuart drinks the local milk, but Jennifer does not. As the day goes on, the townspeople and Stuart display violent and self-destructive behavior.
