Ice Spiders (2007) on Netflix

Plot summary

Dr. April Sommers works at a government laboratory on the restricted side of a mountain in Utah, where she is trying to create a new breed of spider. On the resort side, Chad and other Olympic ski hopefuls arrive to train, and Chad challenges retired Olympic skier Dan "Dash" Dashiell to a race. Dash turns back at the large rocky slope, unwilling to take the injury that ended his career. He meets Dr. Sommers at the bottom. When she returns to the lab, the spiders have escaped.
