Plot summary
Alice, Jim's English girlfriend of three years, wants to hear him say he loves her, but Jim is thirty-three, works at a miniature railway and cannot commit, and a job in England is on her mind. Jim lives in the granny flat behind his sister Marie's house, where Marie puts up with her husband Owen. After a drunken night out with his mate Blake, Jim tries to steal a car belonging to Charlie, then finds Charlie's undelivered love letter to Francesca and asks Charlie to help him mend things with Alice. Jim's first attempt at a letter fails, so he copies Charlie's letter for Alice.
