Plot summary
At Cuesta Verde University in Seattle, Professor Roy Curien has spent months experimenting on the dead, and the campus is now overrun by the infected. Steven Ellis finds his fellow agent Alexandra 'Nightingale' Morgan at a restaurant, where she has to put down several infected people. The two are ordered to collect a blood sample from the first infected specimen on campus. A Special Forces squad of Marines is assigned to escort them, though Ellis questions whether the soldiers are up to the task. The pair is warned that missiles will destroy the university at midnight, whether or not they have made it out.
