Plot summary
In 2005, Otis Lort is a movie star whose drinking ends in a car crash and a drunken altercation with police. A court orders him into rehabilitation. Dr. Moreno, his counselor, warns that leaving early means prison for his violent offenses, tells him he has PTSD, and urges him to examine his past. A decade earlier, Otis worked as a child actor, with James, his father, often beside him on set. James, a former rodeo clown, has been sober for four years but erupts in anger. They live in a meager motel complex.
