Plot summary
Carlita has unwittingly taken part in a drug deal rip off with her boyfriend. A gunfight at a Miami nightclub leaves her blamed for a murder she did not commit, and she disappears, hiding from the police and from him. In time she builds a career as a nightclub performer living under another name. She still hopes to prove her innocence without getting killed.
