Plot summary
Jack, a nightclub owner, recruits eight small-time hoods to carry out an elaborate heist. He divides them into four teams of two, and each team is sent against its own target. The assaults take place at the same time, in different parts of the city, and suitcases full of cash are what the men are told to bring back. Jack's pairings are unusual: a Black man with a white racist, an Ivy League graduate with a simpleton. The eight do not know one another when he brings them together, and none of them knows why he was chosen. Gunfire and high-speed chases meet the raids.
