Plot summary
Toby Howard spent the last months of his mother's life caring for her. She left the family ranch in West Texas owing money to the Texas Midlands Bank, which will foreclose unless the debt is settled by Friday. Toby turns to his older brother Tanner, who came out of prison a year ago. Together they rob branches of that same bank, taking only small bills and hiding the getaway cars at the ranch. Toby also wants the land, where oil has been found, to give his former wife and their two boys a better life than his own. Texas Ranger Marcus Hamilton, close to mandatory retirement, and his partner Alberto Parker take the robberies after the FBI shows no interest in a case worth a few thousand dollars.
