Plot summary
Jean and Shag Williams find a newly built house in a new housing development and decide it is the home for them. The developers do not tell them that the land beneath it was once the Freedomtown graveyard, an African-American cemetery. When the Williamses ask about the graves, the developers deny that any graveyard was there. Inside the house, toilets flush with no one in the room and the garage door rises and falls by itself. The family sets out to prove that the graves are still under the house, while the people who sold them the land insist there was never a cemetery.
