Plot summary
With Alison and Mike gone, the ghosts at Button House have little to do; work on a planned golf course has stopped, and postcards are their main excitement. Protesters against a planned hotel add to the frustration, and the ghosts want a way to contact Alison for help. At night, a group of teenagers arrives to hold a seance. Sammy, whose grandmother was a medium, shares ghost stories, and Jack asks a ghost to speak through him. Julian takes over Jack's body and pushes Jack's spirit out, then leaves Button House. Jack's spirit stays behind, where Pat and Kitty help him adjust, while the Captain, Fanny and Robin watch the protesters and Robin notices a woman named Janine.
