Danielle Sutton, the US president and an Army veteran, travels with her family to Cape Town for the G20 summit at a heavily fortified hotel. Mercenaries led by Edward Rutledge infiltrate the summit, overpower the guests' security details and take the assembled leaders hostage inside the hotel. Sutton slips away with Secret Service agent Manny Ruiz, UK Prime Minister Oliver Everett, IMF head Elena Romano and the First Lady of South Korea, Han Minh-Seo. Derek gets his children clear of the attackers. Rutledge broadcasts to the world, accusing the leaders of corruption and urging citizens to put their money into cryptocurrency.
