Plot summary
Noah travels by ferry from Sayville with Howie, Luke, Keegan, and Max, the friends he is closest to, for their yearly week on Fire Island at the Pines, the island's gay village. Erin, who serves as their house mother, has to sell her home, which makes this their final week there. Charlie, a doctor, arrives with his wealthy companions, among them Cooper and Will, a lawyer. Howie and Charlie show interest in one another, and Noah makes it his goal for the trip to see Howie coupled. Charlie asks them over, and the other guests make them feel looked down on.
