Plot summary
A weekend at a remote historic hotel is meant to be a birthday celebration for Bianca, whose fiancé Rom, a bestselling author and motivational speaker, has invited their friends Lou, Michael, Benny, Serena and Meg along. After they settle in, Rom opens a discussion about fear: everyone, he says, carries one personal fear that controls them, and facing it head-on is the way to overcome it. To test that, each friend names the fear they hold deepest. Then strange and terrifying events begin. Bianca, who is afraid of drowning, is troubled by visions of water, and Lou, the skeptic of the group, meets something he cannot account for.
