Plot summary
Darby Thorne is a young woman in recovery who learns her mother is undergoing emergency surgery. Her sister Devon tells her not to come given what her drug use has cost the family. Darby leaves the rehab facility anyway and drives toward Salt Lake City. A local officer, Corporal Ron Hill, stops her and explains that a blizzard has closed the interstate, so she can turn back or wait at a nearby visitors center. Inside she meets Ash, Lars, and Ed and Sandi, a married couple. Darby goes outside looking for a cell signal and finds a kidnapped girl hidden in a van that belongs to one of the strangers inside. Unable to tell which of them is responsible, she slips back inside and tries to text the police, but the signal is too weak.
