Plot summary
Becky Connor and Shiloh Hunter are best friends who climb together. A year after Becky's husband Dan falls to his death on a mountain, Becky has stopped climbing, lives as a recluse, and has estranged herself from her father, James. Near the anniversary of Dan's death, Shiloh invites her to climb the B-67, a decommissioned 2,000-foot television tower in the desert that is due to be demolished. Shiloh suggests scattering Dan's ashes from the top as a way to heal, and a reluctant Becky agrees. They arrive the next day and climb corroded ladders to a small platform at the top, where Shiloh records for her YouTube channel and goads Becky into momentarily hanging free off the platform.

- Lionsgate ordered over 30 uses of "fuck" cut from Fall so it could earn a PG-13 instead of an R; rather than reshoot, the filmmakers turned to Flawless, the deepfake company co-founded by director Scott Mann and Nick Lynes, to redub them as words like "freaking". It was the first project to use Flawless.
- Director Scott Mann's team considered green screen or digital sets but built the upper portion of the tower on top of a mountain, so that Grace Caroline Currey and Virginia Gardner would seem to be thousands of feet up even though they were never more than a hundred feet off the ground.
- The fictitious B67 tower in the film was inspired by the real KXTV/KOVR tower in Walnut Grove, California, a 2049 ft radio mast that is one of the tallest structures in the world.
- Grace Caroline Currey and Virginia Gardner were offered stunt doubles for the climbing scenes but chose to do their own stunts, and filming was often disrupted by lightning and strong winds.
