Plot summary
Jack Halsey, his wife Lauren, her children Zoe and Noah, and Zoe's boyfriend Billy reach Amboseli Park in Kenya for a safari. Money is tight, his job is at risk, and his complaining strains the family, especially Zoe. To save money he drives them into the park without a guide, past a sign into a restricted zone. A rhinoceros charges the van when it comes near the animal's young, and the vehicle overturns. Jack's leg is hurt, the water bottles break, and the insulin Lauren needs for her type I diabetes is ruined. Hyenas surround them, and the family hides.
