Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Due Date (2010)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Due Date was inspired by its writers' own run-in with the authorities: Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freeland were moved to write the script in 2008 after both were placed on the No Fly List, while also being fathers.
- Todd Phillips claimed at a 2010 Hollywood Reporter writers roundtable that he co-wrote the script with its star, Robert Downey Jr., but the Writers Guild of America denied giving Downey credit.
- Ethan's guest spot on the sitcom Two and a Half Men was not a real episode: a special short was produced for the film's use, only partly shown in Due Date, with the full short available online.
- Zach Galifianakis's character Ethan, a Two and a Half Men fan, mentions a website he started, itsrainingtwoandahalfmen.com, and as a joke a real website with that name was actually launched.
