Mimi Kennedy

Mimi Kennedy is an American actress who has worked mainly in television comedy. Raised in Rochester, New York, she first took the stage with the Rochester Community Players at twelve and later attended Smith College. Early in her career she appeared in the National Lampoon stage show, auditioned without success for Saturday Night Live, and performed on Broadway in Grease. After a part in the 1977 variety series 3 Girls 3, she spent the 1980s in a string of short-lived sitcoms such as The Two of Us, Spencer and Family Man. She played Ruth Sloan on the acclaimed drama Homefront from 1991 to 1993, then Abby O'Neil on Dharma & Greg from 1997 to 2002, and from 2013 played Marjorie on Mom, earning a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination. Her film work includes Midnight in Paris (2011), Due Date (2010) and In the Loop (2009), along with Pump Up the Volume (1990) and The Five-Year Engagement (2012).
