Plot summary
In the 1950s, a microbe from another world was recovered from a spacecraft that crashed in Siberia. In 2004, American scientists made a clone of it in a hidden laboratory in Alaska. A garbled distress signal reached the outside just before the whole facility went into lockdown. That signal was the last thing anyone heard from the people inside. Scientists and military personnel were then sent to the site to find out what had gone wrong.
