Death Watch (1980) on Netflix

Plot summary

When doctors tell Katherine Mortenhoe that she has an illness her world's medicine cannot cure, she becomes a public curiosity. Vincent Ferriman, an executive at the NTV network, offers her a large sum of money for the right to record her remaining days as a reality show called Death Watch. She accepts, gives the cash to her husband and disappears in disguise, then meets Roddy at a shelter for homeless people. She has no idea that cameras and transmitters were implanted behind his eyes, sending everything he sees back to the network. Roddy agreed to the operation for the money, which he intends for his estranged wife and their son.
