Plot summary
The Sprawl is a prison run by a private security company and holds hundreds of thousands of inmates. Its new warden, hired by the owner Weyland International, has banned the Death Race and has been given the job of taking out the champion, Frankenstein. New prisoners arrive by helicopter and are each handed a roll of silver coins. A gang led by the Death Racer Johnny Law attacks them. Two inmates fight the gang off; one of them, Connor, wants to find Baltimore Bob, and the bartender Jane helps him make contact.
