Plot summary
Fragments of a single summer day make up the story, set in a Florida suburb. Aaron, a teenage boy interviewed with his mother, is absorbed by shooting-genre video games. An army veteran attends a support group, cleans his weapons and practices at a shooting range, hitting his targets in the head. A group of girls look forward to a night at the movies, and skaters and a therapy group drift through the same hours. Loosely drawn from the 2012 shooting in Aurora, Colorado, the film moves the events to Florida and alters the identities of those involved. The scattered hours are heading toward a mass shooting at a suburban multiplex.
