Plot summary
Rainy, a German Shepherd, is Jimmy Warner's best friend in the family home in Eagle Rock, Louisiana, where Jimmy lives with his father Dean Warner and his stepmother Laura Warner. When Dean Warner is promoted, the family plans to move into a New York City apartment whose building allows no pets. Rainy will not be left behind and sets out across the country toward New York.
