Plot summary
Walter Pearce is a married father of two who confesses, at a dinner marking his daughter Chloe's engagement, to an affair with his secretary. His wife Deborah orders him out, his employer lets him go and his credit cards are refused. With nowhere left to stay, Walter moves in next door with Skylar Eckerman, the town's high school football star. Skylar's college scholarship ended when he injured his knee, and Chloe, Walter's daughter, was once his girlfriend. Before the injury he had mistreated those around him, the college recruiters and Chloe among them. The two men, both at a low point, start to lean on each other.
