Plot summary
At the gas station where he works, Guy cheats customers by charging them for gasoline he never puts in their cars. When the swindle is discovered he is dismissed, and because his employer had also provided his lodging, he is left without a home. He asks his friend Daniel, who shares an apartment with his girlfriend Françoise, if he can sleep there. Daniel, who works for a moving company, gets Guy hired there too, though the job is clearly not one Guy is suited to. Guy moves in and stays, and his presence in the apartment creates a growing series of disasters for the couple.
