Ben lives in Brooklyn, where he takes on a series of odd jobs. He is a bisexual man and a hypochondriac who follows a set routine with his physician, Dr. Dragone, and at night he seeks out one-night stands that leave him empty. A meeting with Sam, a data analyst, while he browses for books gives his life new purpose. Sam is a man of color carrying deep wounds of his own, and over the summer the pair grow close.
