Plot summary
CIA agent Avery Graves is in Tokyo, where she takes a thumbdrive from arms supplier Kenji, a man using a business front to ship weapons to terrorists. She has also been asked to look into Kali, an assassin who targets arms dealers and drug runners. When she gets home, her husband David is gone. A Croatian cyberterrorist, Breznov, calls with a trade: the file known as Canary Black, which he says is hidden in the false tooth of a detained spy named Laszlo Stoica, in return for David's release. Avery pulls the tooth at the CIA black site and finds nothing inside. She escapes the facility, and her own agency puts her on the wanted list.
