Plot summary
Detective Tyler Burke and his men kill drug dealer George Freemont and destroy evidence that Burke has been distributing narcotics. Freemont kept a backup on a flash drive, which turns up during his autopsy and is delivered to the evidence room. Detective John Shaw comes back to work after his partner Ray Jones is killed in a shooting that also wounded Shaw, leaving him with post traumatic stress disorder. Captain Ellen Matthews and Officer Jenny Taylor greet him at the precinct, where Burke is being praised for the Freemont bust. Reading the incident report of that bust, Shaw retrieves the flash drive from evidence. Burke learns of it and rushes to the precinct, where he triggers the fire alarm to empty the building and locks the place down to corner Shaw.
