Masayoshi Haneda
Biography
Masayoshi Haneda is a Japanese actor who performs in films and on stage. Born in Chiyoda, he chose acting as a young man and trained from 1999 to 2000 at the United Performers' Studio in Tokyo under Yoko Narahashi, appearing in stage plays there, then continued with workshops led by teachers from the Actors Studio in New York. In 2003 he worked as a stunt performer on The Last Samurai. He went on to appear in When the Last Sword Is Drawn (2002), Oh! My Zombie Mermaid, Marebito (2004), Godzilla: Final Wars, and Memories of Matsuko. His international debut came in July 2006 with Valley of Flowers, and he later had roles in The Ramen Girl (2008), Emperor (2012) as a driver and interpreter, 47 Ronin (2013) as a samurai, and Edge of Tomorrow (2014) as a soldier. He is best known for playing Tanaka in the Westworld series.
